Financial Information

The National Student Exchange has two different plans for payment of tuition and fees. UW-Green Bay is required to send students on Plan B, meaning students continue to pay normal tuition and fees to UW-Green Bay while studying elsewhere through the National Student Exchange program.

Students will pay the costs of accommodations and meals directly to the host campus or service provider. Some host campuses also assess fees as a condition of enrollment (e.g. laboratory fees, art and photography supplies, course surcharges, computer fees, etc.).

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay assesses a non-refundable fees upon application. Should a student not be placed, be placed but decline the location, or withdraws for any reason, no refunds will be given.

Financial aid can apply, talk to an advisor in that office for specifics about your options.  You can also work while on the NSE exchange, however you cannot use any work study funds.

Budget
The NSE budget on our website (click the Costs tab) is meant to be an estimate of what you will need for the semester.  Please look at your preferred school location websites for housing and other fee estimates.  Look up travel costs to/from your destination as well as search for transportation options within the city you will live.  This will help you get a better idea of your actual costs while on exchange.
