Early College Credit Program

High school students, grades 9-12, can take courses during the fall, spring, or summer semesters to earn college credit through the Early College Credit Program (ECCP). Eligible students are permitted to enroll in classes at the UW-Green Bay main campus or at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc or Sheboygan campuses.

Online courses through UW-Green Bay are also eligible for ECCP.

To be considered for the ECCP, students must meet the admissions requirements:
  • Must be in 9-12th grade with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and
  • Must meet specific course prerequisites when applicable.
If a student does not meet the 3.0 requirement, a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher in the subject area must be submitted to eccp@uwgb.edu at the time of application.

All students must display a level of responsibility and maturity needed to succeed in a college-level course. If approved by the school board, students can receive both high school and college credit or just college credit upon successful completion of the course.

College courses taken by high school students become part of the permanent university record and may affect subsequent admission to post-secondary institutions. Please be aware that a poor grade earned in an ECCP course could have a negative impact on a future admissions decision for a student.

To be considered for the ECCP program, students must have their paperwork into their school district by the following dates:
  • Fall 2019 courses:  March 1, 2019
  • Spring 2020 courses: October 1, 2019
  • Summer 2020 courses: February 1, 2020
