The Learning Center

About Us

TLC offers FREE academic support in a variety of undergraduate subjects each semester. Courses affiliated with mentoring vary each semester during the spring and fall semesters. One-on-one sessions, drop-in hours and study groups are held by academic mentors that are subject area experts who have successfully completed the course, usually with the same professor. They are able to answer questions, review course material, assist with preparing for exams, guide discussion and provide tips on study strategies in the content area.

UW-Green Bay's TLC is a member of the Wisconsin College Learning Center Association - WCLCA as well as a member of the National College Learning Center Association - NCLCA

Individual Sessions

Students seeking academic assistance for a course are encouraged to see the Receptionist/Front Desk Staff in the newly renovated TLC on the 2nd floor of the Cofrin Library, CL 207, to complete a academic mentor request form and to schedule the sessions. Individual sessions usually begin the second week of the semester. Contact us to ask about an individual peer academic mentor solution by calling 920-465-2958, or by visiting The Learning Center.

Study Groups

A variety of courses each semester have study groups affiliated with them. Locations, dates and times, will be available by contacting TLC. No prior appointment is needed to attend study groups.
