The UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus Learning Center (room 113 in the Main Building) offers one-on-one assistance with math and writing. In addition, you can get help with those subjects and many more via our online tutoring platform, Brainfuse. 

These services are provided to UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus students free of charge:

Online Tutoring via Brainfuse

Our new partnership with Brainfuse allows Marinette campus students to access homework help on demand from Brainfuse-certified tutors in accounting, biology, chemistry, computers and technology, economics, finance, math, physics, psychology, statistics, Spanish, writing, and more!

Tutors are on call in all available subjects each day, including weekends. Tutors for math, English, and certain other subjects are available 24/7. Submit work to Brainfuse for feedback, or communicate with your tutor in real time through the Brainfuse Online Classroom. 

It's easy to set up your account by using your UWGB.edu email address and password. Click on the logo below to get started. 

One-on-One Math Tutoring

Student tutors in the Learning Center offer one-on-one assistance in math. These students have successfully completed math classes at the Marinette campus and are able to answer questions, review course material, reinforce concepts you learned in your classes, help prepare for exams, and provide tips on study strategies. In addition, math tutors can help you navigate Brainfuse for help outside of staffed Learning Center hours. 

Math Tutor Schedule

If you are struggling with math, there are Math tutors and instructors available at the following times in the Learning Center:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

In-Person Help with Writing Assignments

The Marinette campus Learning Center also offers the following options for in-person help with writing assignments: 

Writing Support Staff 

If you need help with a written assignment for any class, visit the Learning Center when one of our student Writing Support Staff members are available. These students can help you interpret assignments, brainstorm topics, and navigate Brainfuse to get feedback on your work from a Brainfuse writing tutor. 

  • Monday: 12 noon – 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 9 a.m – 10:50 a.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 noon – 1 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9 a.m – 10:50 a.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m – 10:30 a.m.
Ms. R's Open Writing Lab

Ms. Rysavy works with any student seeking assistance with writing assignments during three Open Writing Lab hours each week in the Learning Center. Get help with writing-related work for any class from a Marinette campus writing instructor. 

  • Monday: 9 a.m. – 9:55 a.m.
  • Tuesday: 11 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.
  • Wednesday: 2 p.m. – 2:55 p.m.
