Borrow from Another Library
UW System Requesting (UW)
UW System Requesting allows you to request physical items (items that must be returned) from another UW library.
UW Requesting is faster than ILL and you get the same loan periods as you do for an item from our collection. Items usually arrive within 1-3 business days.
Use Search@UW to find items and then look for the Get It tab.
If we are unable to locate an available UW System copy, you can request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL/ILLiad)
Interlibrary Loan allows you to request anything from libraries across the globe. ILL is the perfect way to get electronic copies of articles that UWGB doesn't own, as well as books, movies, music or anything that you can't get through UW System Requesting.
Articles usually arrive within 1-3 days and physical items within 5-7 business days.
Submit your ILL requests by using thebutton or Find It link to request the item.
If you have a complete citation for a book or an article, you can enter it directly into ILLiad by logging into your ILLiad account and selecting New Request for either an article or a book.
