High-flying Phoenix

Among the happy grads at Saturday's mid-year commencement was former Phoenix basketball player Daniel Turner. Though his D-I playing career was cut short by injury, his classroom success was not. He graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration, with a near-perfect GPA, in just three-and-a-half years. He plans to pursue a master's in communication and sports management at D-II Florida Southern College where, with NCAA eligibility remaining, he'll return to hoops to play alongside his younger brother.
