UW-Green Bay Make a Difference Day

Let's Make a Difference

Across the nation, millions of people unite with a common mission — to improve their lives and the lives of others by doing good. On Friday, October 23, UW-Green Bay students, faculty and staff will be giving back to the greater Green Bay community.

Make a Difference Day is an annual event which takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October. Historically at UWGB our event is held on Friday.

Friday, October 23, 2020

Make a Difference Day will look a little bit different this year due to COVID-19, however the pandemic will not stop us from being able to help our community. Instead of going off campus we have some projects that can be done in the comfort of your own home.

From 9 am - 4 pm students, faculty and staff can stop by the Office of Student Life UU150 to pick up supplies. If you are not able to make it to campus then we will mail supplies to you with a self addressed envelope so that you can send the finished projects back.
Projects Include:
Campus Clean-Up
Holiday Cards for Vets
Animal Toys for Shelters
For Mailing

Participants receive a free T-shirt.

Employees are encouraged to participate.

UW-Green Bay students and staff are also encouraged to participate with the Volunteer Center of Brown County on Saturday, October 24. Find more information here. Saturday volunteers will be responsible for their own transportation, but will be recognized as part of the UW-Green Bay community of volunteers.
