Let's Make a Difference

Across the nation, millions of people unite with a common mission — to improve their lives and the lives of others by doing good. On Friday, October 26, UW-Green Bay students, faculty and staff will be giving back to the greater Green Bay community, volunteering at various locations. Make a Difference Day is an annual event which takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.

Register for the various volunteer opportunities listed below. Please check in the day-of at the Winter Garden in Mary Ann Cofrin (MAC) Hall. If the volunteer destination is off campus, transportation will be provided and buses will leave from Mary Ann Cofrin (MAC) Hall Circle. Participants receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. Employees are encouraged to participate and should work with their supervisor(s) for approval.

On-Campus Locations:

  • Campus Clean Up - Litter
  • TRiO - Make Holiday Cards for Veterans
  • Painting Theatre Hall
  • PEAC Film Recycling

Off-Campus Locations:​

  • Green Bay Botanical Garden - planting and clean up
  • New Community Shelter
  • New Zoo - Zoo Boo

UW-Green Bay students and staff are also encouraged to participate with the Volunteer Center of Brown County on Saturday, October 27. Saturday volunteers will be responsible for their own transportation, but will be recognized as part of the UW-Green Bay community of volunteers.
