Young Jin Lee is an assistant professor of management information systems for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. He received his B.A.in Business from Chung-Ang University in Korea in 2000 and his B.S.B.A in Information Systems from the Ohio State University in 2001. He completed his Master in Information Systems and Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration majoring in Information Systems in June 2010 from the University of Washington – Seattle.
Dr. Lee has taught a variety of courses in information systems in University of Washington Forster School of Business before joining UW-Green Bay. He is currently teaching undergraduate courses in business statistics and information systems.
In terms of research, Dr. Lee mainly conducts research on economics of social media and social networks in online recommendation systems. His research also includes piracy and digital rights management, adoption and diffusion of IT innovations and practices, new product development, decision theory and behavior dynamics. His research has appeared in prestigious conferences such as International Conference of Information Systems, Workshop on Information Technology and Systems, Conference on Information Systems and Technology, and Annual INFORMS Meetings.
Dr. Lee has also worked as an information strategist in Samsung Group. He planned and managed many enterprise-IT related projects such as IT budget, infrastructure, and outsourcing contracts.
