October 21, 2017 - "Music of the Masters"

Thundering trumpets! Repertoire will include “Rolling Thunder,” “Thunder and Lighting Polka,” and “The Thunderer.” Guest soloist John Daniel, Lawrence University Professor of Trumpet.

November 4, 2017 - Lakeshore Big Band, "Theme Song"

Remembering the songs that sent us running to the living room TV, fighting for the remote...classics from Bob Newhart to Mike Hammer to The Odd Couple, as well as more recent jingles such as Family Guy!

December 1 & 2, 2017 - "Festival of Christmas"

Kick-off your holiday season with the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble "Festival of Christmas" at the Capitol Civic Centre December 1 & 2 at 7:30 pm! Featuring the beautiful “Panis Angelicus” vocals by Barbara Whitcomb, “A Rhapsody on Christmas Carols,” “The Christmas Song” by Mel Torme, sung by David Bourgeois, “White Christmas” with vocalists Kim Hofman and David Bourgeois, concert narration by TV news anchor Tom Zalaski, LWE Children's Choir and Audience Christmas carol Sing-a-long.

January 13, 2018 - LWE & Big Band "A Celebration of Music"

Join us as we celebrate American music from A-Z and beyond with Anderson, Bernstein and Copland. The LWE starts the show with hits such as "Hallelujah," "A Copland Portrait," the "National Emblem March," "Americans We," and "West Side Story." After a brief intermission, the Lakeshore Big Band takes the stage with favorites such as "Chattanooga Choo-Choo," "Blue Skies," "Come Fly With Me," and "Beyond the Sea." Two big bands in one big night!

March 3, 2018 - "The Winds of March" 

Featuring the clarinet including “Clarinet Concerto,” "Yiddish Dances," and "Clarinet Polka" by Weber and the boisterous "Pie in the Face Polka," and the 27th Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Association Young Artist Competition first place winner David Pickar on the rosewood marimba and second place winner Chance Stine on saxophone. We also have the honor of presenting the 20th Wesley Teply Community Service Award in the Arts.

April 14, 2018 - Lakeshore Big Band, "Viva Las Vegas"

A celebration of the songs and artists that embody the spirit of the Entertainment Capital of the World! With music by Bobby Darin, Louis Prima, Elvis and the Rat Pack. (Remember...what happens at the Capitol Civic Centre STAYS at the Capitol Civic Centre!)

May 5, 2018 - "American Salute"

An American salute, with “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite,” “Outdoor Overture” by Copland, “Far and Away” by John Williams, and “Strategic Air Command March” by Clifton Williams.
