On-campus COVID-19 Testing Summary

This dashboard provides information to the campus community and the public about the results of COVID-19 tests at UW-Green Bay from Monday through Saturday. The following data does not reflect the entirety of Brown County. For more information regarding testing in Brown County or the State of Wisconsin, please refer to resources at the bottom of the page.

*UW-Green Bay will not disclose names or other information that could potentially identify a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 Daily Testing

While viewing the data, please keep the following in mind:
  1. Students who tested positive with an antigen test followed up with PCR tests. The PCR numbers reflect both asymptomatic students who were confirmed to carry the COVID-19 virus through a PCR test and those symptomatic students who reached out directly to The Wellness Center for a PCR test. All students living in Residence Life on the Green Bay Campus will be tested every two weeks.
  2. This represents only results from tests administered on campus for campus resident students who are required to be tested bi-weekly and commuter students who may be tested on a bi-weekly basis. It does not reflect tests of students or staff conducted in the community or at other medical facilities.
  3. This percentage is in no way intended to represent the ratio of positive cases compared to the full student body or campus community. It reflects testing administered to both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals.

UW-Green Bay COVID-19 Testing Overview

Antigens are proteins associated with the virus. The antigen tests for the presence of these proteins within an infected individual. Students who tested positive with an antigen test followed up with the PCR tests.
  • PROS: A rapid and accurate test of active COVID-19 infection.
  • CONS: Not as accurate as the PCR test
Application:
An effective test strategy to determine the prevalence of COVID-19 infection among asymptomatic individuals and is often used for surveillance testing in large groups.
