Office Assistant
Hours: Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:30pm. Flexible scheduling to work with student class schedules. 10-15 hours per week required.
Job Description:
Student Accessibility Services provides students with documented disabilities the opportunity to reach their full potential by providing academic accommodations and support services along with promoting independence and self-advocacy.
Some of the daily tasks of this position include, scheduling appointments, uploading documentation, proctoring exams, picking up or dropping off exams, and helping students and staff with any questions they might have.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with exam proctoring by helping students schedule exams, collecting exams from professors, proctoring exams in our testing center, and returning exams to mailrooms or offices.
- General office duties, such as answering phones, sending and responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and answering questions that students, professors, or visitors have.
- Assist with case management duties such as helping students with their applications or scanning and uploading documentation.
- Othe duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be dependable, able to multitask, willing to learn, and have strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g., Microsoft programming, Office 365) and the internet.
- Good working habits such as attendance, punctuality, accountability, thoroughness, and resourcefulness
- Prior experience as an office assistant or receptionist is beneficial, but not required.
