Engineering by Land, Sea and Air Camp

Spend a week with us learning what it's like to be an engineer (AND a designer, AND an explorer) as you create projects that navigate on land, water and air. We'll tinker, design and build cars, boats, ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles), air rockets and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). We'll also dive into a few team-building design challenges along the way.  This hands-on experience includes use of lot's of cool tools tools, quick and fun challenges and plenty of time for open creation. This camp is being Einstein Projectoffered in partnership with the Einstein Project.


Must be entering in the fall, grades 6-9.


$410 for commuter day campers (includes 5 lunches)

*Our camp Health Forms are now electronic!  You will receive an e-mail closer to camp that will prompt you to fill out your Health Form online.  Health Forms must be filled out online before your camper checks-in to camp.

Drop off/Pick up Policy

Parents are advised to drop off and pick up your child promptly. The camp begins at 8:30 a.m., with staff on site at 8:00 a.m. Pick up is at 4:00 p.m. with staff on site until 4:15 p.m. Failure to pick up your camper on time will result in a supervisory charge of $15 per hour.

Disciplinary Policies

The camp reserves the right, upon notification of parents, to dismiss any camper during any session for improper conduct, language, dress or attitude which, in the judgment of the summer camp administrative and counseling staff, is detrimental to the well-being of other campers or smooth operation of the camp.

Health Services and Insurance

The UW-Green Bay Health and Counseling Center is available to campers 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Accident insurance through the University of Wisconsin is provided for all camps. This limited policy covers injuries relating to camp accidents only. It is understood that medical costs in excess of camp insurance will be borne by parents or guardians.

Camp Instructor

Dennis Rockhill
Dennis is the Jedi Maker-Mindset Master for the Einstein Project here in Green Bay. This includes being the makerspace director, doing kit development and educator training. Dennis joined the Einstein Project team in Fall 2017. He spent three years co-founding, managing, and serving as the executive director of the nonprofit, Proto, Inc.; a youth-focused makerspace. From 1993-2015, Dennis held various technical, product development and design positions in the packaging industry with WS Packaging, Belmark, Inc., Kimberly-Clark Corp. and Wild Blue Technologies. He is an award-winning children's book author and illustrator and an alumni of UW-Green Bay with a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration.

Cancellation Policy

In the event a camper must cancel, the Summer Camps Office should be notified no later than one month before the start date of the camp session in order to receive a refund, less a non-refundable deposit of $100. Requests received after that date will not receive a refund. No refunds will be made for withdrawal due to homesickness, sending a camper home for disciplinary reasons, or after the camp has started.

In the event a camper requests to switch camp sessions, an additional $25 processing fee will be applied.

We reserve the right to cancel any camp due to low enrollment; in such a case, all fees paid will be refunded or the camper can choose to apply fees to a different camp/class in the same year.

Overpayments of less than $10 will not be refunded.
