Photo ID
Voter Photo ID provisions are in effect. Students who do not have a Wisconsin driver license, a passport, military ID, or a Wisconsin ID card may use a student ID to vote.
If your university student ID card displays voting information on the back panel, and is expired, it may still be used to vote. If your student ID is expired, you must also provide an enrollment verification letter (available in your SIS account under the "Student Links" section) or a document such as a class schedule, tuition fee receipt, or certified campus housing list. You must show your original student ID if you are voting in-person but may show your proof of enrollment document electronically.
If your university student ID card was printed after July 1, 2022 and does NOT display voting information on the back panel, you may request a separate university Voter ID at the University Ticketing & Information Center (located in the University Union) for no cost. This university Voter ID will also meet the requirements for a photo ID required to vote.
