What's unique about this minor at UWGB

OPPORTUNITY. Students are encouraged to get involved in internships, where they gain practical experience in the field. This experience not only gives students an inside look into their field, but it also makes them more attractive to employers. Some common internship sites are (but not limited to) family violence centers, arts organizations, historical organizations, political advocacy groups, media projects, and women’s health centers in the area. Students with specific interests are also encouraged to do individual research projects with the guidance of appropriate faculty.

GUIDANCE. The Women and Gender Studies faculty is highly involved in the students’ education, both inside and outside of the classroom. Students get the personal attention they need. The size of the faculty is quite large, which is quite impressive for such a small minor!
