Old World Wisconsin General Store

Old World Wisconsin

Eagle, Wisconsin

Wednesday, June 26
Cost: $85
Register by June 11. Space is limited. No refunds.

Set against the backdrop of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and 600 acres of picturesque woodlands, prairie, and wetlands, Old World Wisconsin is a one-of-a kind-place where the modern world fades away to reveal over a century of history. The site includes 60 authentically restored historic homes, farms, stores and workshops.

Along your journey from the 1840s to the 1910s, costumed ambassadors will invite you to get hands on with history. You’ll meet furry friends on the farms, enjoy an old-fashioned soda water in the general store, see sparks fly in the blacksmith shop, see how beer is made, and so much more. How you explore is up to you – our historic areas are located within convenient walking distance of each other, or you can choose to hop on our complimentary tram.

Plan to wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and good walking shoes.

Lunch will be provided at Old World Wisconsin. You will be able to select from the following sandwich options, which include a bag of chips, bottled water and a chocolate chip cookie.

  • Historic Inspired Chicken Salad Sandwich on Whole Grain Bread with Butter Lettuce - Poached Chicken, Celery, Sherry Vinegar, Red Onions, Parsley and Capers,
  • BLT on Whole Grain Bread - Thick Cut Bacon, Butter Lettuce and Tomatoes.
  • Thick Slide Home Style Turkey on Country White Bread - Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheddar Cheese.

The price is $85 per person and includes your bus ride (pickup from UW-Green Bay Campus), a boxed lunch of your choosing, as well as admission and narrated tram service throughout the park. Any questions, email the LLI Office or call us at (920) 465-2356. We look forward to traveling with you!

Leaving from Green Bay:

The bus will be picking up at the Green Bay Campus Wood Hall Lot around 7:15 a.m. (exact times will be sent to travelers closer to the date of the trip). We will be at Old World Wisconsin from approx. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We anticipate dropping off in Green Bay at approximately 5 p.m. There will be no refunds issued if a traveler cancels.
