Conditional Admission
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay works with a private ESL school in Madison, Wisconsin, called WESLI. For conditional admission, a student must apply to UW-Green Bay and apply to WESLI at the same time (see required documents below).

The initial I-20 will be issued by WESLI. If admissible, a conditional admission letter will be issued by UW-Green Bay and will be included with the WESLI I-20 for the student to use during the visa interview.

    UW-Green Bay Requirements

  • Online Application: APPLY HERE

  • $44 Application Fee
    • Payable online by Credit Card (online application)
    • Payable with US Money Order to: UW-Green Bay

  • Official Transcripts
    • Must be in original language AND English
    • Notarized copies are acceptable

  • Official Diploma or Examination Results
    • Example: Diploma, Leaving Certificate, IGCSE, etc.
    • Must be in original language AND English
    • Notarized copies are acceptable
    • For High School applicants only

  • Financial Support Statement

  • Original Bank Statement.
    • Photocopy, fax, and electronic documents are NOT allowed

    WESLI Requirements

  • Application: APPLY HERE

  • $100 Application Fee
    • If you want to receive your acceptance letter and I-20 quickly, you should also add US$75 to have them mailed to you by express mail.

  • Financial Documents (PDF)
    • To show you have enough money to live and study in the U.S.
    • Fees can be found on the WESLI homepage (click “ESL program”)

Please note that your application will be considered incomplete and will not be evaluated until we have all required documents. All submitted items become property of UW-Green Bay and cannot be returned or forwarded. Due to student health insurance policy, you must be 18 years old by the time you arrive at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to be eligible for admission. Send all documentation to:
