Admitted students
Here is a timeline to help keep you on track towards your first day as a UW-Green Bay Phoenix.
What's next...
- APPLY FOR HOUSING!
If there is any chance that you might want to live on-campus, apply for housing NOW.
More information about housing at UW-Green Bay was included in your admission folder (if you're a degree-seeking student), or you can go to Office of Residence Life Web site for more information.
- CHECK YOUR E-MAIL
You were assigned a UWGB e-mail account upon admission. Various University offices will be communicating with you via your UWGB student e-mail account. Your official credit evaluation will be sent to this account, so be sure to check it periodically using the username and password sent to you in your admissions packet. Information regarding accessing your e-mail account can be found on the Computer and Information Technology Web site.
- APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
Access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. If a link is not available for the school year for which you
have been admitted, check back. The link will be active as soon as the form is available. For other financial aid related questions, including
scholarship information, visit the UWGB Financial Aid Office Web site.
- REGISTRATION AND ACADEMIC ADVISING
All new transfer students are encouraged to meet with an adviser in the Academic Advising Office to review credit evaluations, general education requirements, registration procedures, and academic policies and procedures. If you are transferring with an Associate’s Degree from a UW System school, and/or you have identified a major you wish to pursue, it is important to also meet with a faculty adviser in your chosen field to go over major/minor requirements. List of faculty advisers. You can contact the Academic Advising Office at (920) 465-2362, or the Transfer Coordinator, Deanne Kusserow, at (920) 465-5105 or kusserod@uwgb.edu. If you cannot meet with an advisor, please carefully read over the Transfer Student Registration Information.
- EXPLORE THE STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
Much of your university business will be conducted through the Student Information System (SIS). Certain functions related to financial aid and registration happen through SIS, so it’s a good idea to get to know your way around.

1. WHEN DO I REGISTER FOR CLASSES?
Registration for the fall semester begins in April, and for the spring semester in November. Your enrollment appointment (the first day and time you may register) will be based on the number of credits you have earned. To find your enrollment appointment, follow these two steps:
- Lot into your Student Information System (SIS) account, using the username and password that were sent to you in your admission packet.
- Look for “Enrollment Appointment” on the right hand side of your Student Center Screen. This is the first date and time you can register for classes. Click on ‘details’ for more information. It is important to register as soon as possible.

3. I AM TRANSFERRING TO UWGB. HOW WILL I FIND OUT HOW MY PREVIOUS COURSES TRANSFER?
A credit evaluation is done following the admission of transfer students. Your credit evaluation will be emailed to your UW-Green Bay email account by the credit evaluator in our Registrar's Office. This is generally done within several weeks of your admission on a priority basis for the current semester. If you are transferring from a different UW campus, or from a Wisconsin Technical College campus, you can do an unofficial evaluation yourself at the Transfer Information System (TIS) Web site. Please contact Russ Leary, learyr@uwgb.edu or 920-465-5020 with questions. .

UW-Green Bay does not require an admissions/enrollment deposit. We will know of your intentions when you enroll in classes. The only deposit you might make after being admitted is your housing deposit (when you receive a housing contract), but only if you plan to live on campus.
