Andrew LaPlant

Andrew (he/him/his) is responsible for planning and implementing land stewardship activities and policies at UW-Green Bay Natural Areas, including the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum, Point au Sable, Toft Point, Peninsula Sanctuary, Kingfisher Farm, Wequiock Creek and the Lenfestey Courtyard. Working in collaboration with the Natural Areas Ecologist and the Department of Facilities Management, Andrew leads on-the-ground tasks including ecological restoration, watershed management, trail maintenance, signage and other activities consistent with management plans. Andrew also contributes to student, staff, and faculty field research projects, facilitates “outdoor classroom” exercises and field trips, and supervises student assistants and volunteers in carrying out land stewardship activities at UW-Green Bay Natural Areas.

As a UW-Green Bay alumnus, Andrew brings an array of natural resource management experience from the National Park Service (Assateague Island National Seashore & Indiana Dunes National Park), Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (State Natural Ares Program), Door County Soil & Water Conservation Department and NES Ecological Services in Green Bay.
