Erin Giese (she/her/hers) is the Data Scientist of the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity and has worked at the Cofrin Center since 2011. She is a principal investigator for the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program, project manager for the Oneida Bird Monitoring Project, and coordinator of the Dyckesville Christmas Bird Count. Since 2017, she has been the founding staff advisor for the campus student organization, UWGB Bird Club, for which she provides guidance to students interested in birds. She currently serves on the board of directors for Audubon Great Lakes and Northeastern Wisconsin Audubon and the steering committee of the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Partnership.
She and her husband enjoy traveling the world to experience other cultures, wildlife, birds, and people and have been fortunate enough to step foot onto all seven continents. Erin values her son, family, and friends above all else and truly enjoys sharing birds and wildlife with others.
