Preparing Teachers of Tomorrow

Why Be A Teacher?

If you enjoy working with children and adolescents, believe in the power of education, want to commit to a lifetime of learning, desire a rewarding career that can often be challenging, and have the ability to communicate well, inspire trust, and build confidence in others, UW-Green Bay's Education program is the perfect choice for you.

What is Unique to the UW-Green Bay Program?

In UW-Green Bay's Professional Program in Education, you’ll gain the strong content knowledge, mastery of teaching techniques and introductory experience necessary to begin your career. Both the Education major and minor include courses that address today’s concerns in education: changes in the schools and schooling, changes in the nature and nurture of students and changes in society and the workplace. Early clinical experiences allow prospective teachers to observe and participate in actual educational settings. These experiences will often include working with students from various ethnic, cultural and economic groups, adult learners, and exceptional needs children.

Multiple Career Options

UW-Green Bay offers multiple education license categories, whether your career goal is work with early childhood, elementary-level, or secondary-level students.
