Iftekhar Anam is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at UW-Green Bay. Before joining UW-Green Bay, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Intelligent Systems (IIS), University of Memphis.
He finished his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Memphis at Memphis, TN. He also has an M. Sc. from the University of Memphis and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
His research projects focus on automated analyses of facial and behavioral expressions and their applications. He is also interested in analyses of text data. His areas of expertise include Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, and Assistive Technology. Dr. Anam coauthored several journal and conference papers. He is a professional member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
He enjoys reading, traveling, and several sports.
