In an increasingly global workforce, university graduates must possess an international perspective. There is no better time during one’s life to acquire those skills than the college years, and no better way to experience cultures and traditions unique from the United States than by traveling.
Each year hundreds of UW-Green Bay students distinguish themselves from peers by participating in a study abroad program. While destinations vary, outcomes are constant. Students who have returned from a sojourn abroad consistently report greater levels of independence, self-confidence, and resourcefulness than prior to departure. GPA’s tend to improve in the semesters following study abroad, and many credit their overseas experiences with helping to define and obtain career objectives.
At UW-Green Bay, we are very cognizant of the financial concerns you may have when considering study abroad; that’s why we work hard to keep travel costs low while partnering with Financial Aid to award grants, scholarships, and loan packages. Additionally, study abroad programs award UW-Green Bay credit and enable you to stay on track with graduation requirements.
We hope that you will review this website carefully and seriously consider the advantages of participating in a UW-Green bay study abroad program. Think about it. Talk with your parents, advisor, and professors about the exciting opportunities. If you still have questions, stop in the Office of International Education; we look forward to meeting you!
