The University is notified regularly of scholarships offered by local, regional, and national organizations. In general, we limit this listing to awards that are geared towards Wisconsin residents or students attending schools within the state. Students who want to conduct a broader search may find the resources on the Helpful Links page to be useful. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information, nor are we responsible for the content in any of these outside sites or sources of information. Use good judgment and common sense when researching potential scholarships. We update this link to include any new awards we are made aware of. Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation

Eligibility: Available to any and all high school basketball players and managers, boy or girl planning to pursue a college degree with any UW System school. Most recipients will not play at the college level.

Brule River Sportsmen's Club Scholarship

Eligibility: Intend to use this scholarship at the junior, senior or graduate level. Attend a college in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Be preparing for a career in natural resources. Be majoring in public policy, law, political science, engineering, or any other field in which the student could prepare for a career in a profession that would further public understanding, appreciation and conservation of natural resources. Lastly, must be a member of the Brule River Sportsmen's Club or the child or grandchild of a member.

Community First Credit Union Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Graduating high school senior 2) Applicant must be a primary member of the Credit Union with an account in good standing

Green Bay P.E.O. Reciprocity Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Must be a female, Brown County resident and a legal resident or citizen of the U.S. or Canada. 2) Applicant must have at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life and be within 24 months of completing her educational goal. 3) Applicant must demonstrate need through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and provide a Student Aid Report (SAR). 4) No doctoral students accepted. 5) Must attach personal essay.

Integrated Community Solutions Ladder of Hope Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Degree-seeking student enrolled at least half-time at a postsecondary institution in Wisconsin (or a graduating high school senior) 2) Must be participants or household members of Brown County Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Deadline: Applications must be received by May 1, 2017.

The Jaycees of Wisconsin Foundation, Inc.

Eligibility: 1) Applicants must be at least 21 years old, having returned to school after at least two years off 2) Applicant must be a continuing student with at least 2 semesters of school completed since returning to school (Summer school does not apply and student must be enrolled in upcoming term.). 3)Must be attending a Wisconsin post-secondary institution pursuing a minimum of a two year undergraduate program. 4) Must be full time as defined by the school they are attending. 5) Must show have a 3.0 GPA.

Martha Hollowell Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Pursuing Master's Degree in Social Work. 2) Commitment to working in the Knosha community for a minimum of 2-5 years to serve individuals living with severe and persistent mental health issues.

Minnesota Builders Exchange and The Builders Group

Eligibility: 1) Enrolled in an accredited construction-related, post-secondary program. 2) 2.50 or higher GPA.

Eligibility: Merrill High School graduates (not current seniors).

Sam Hennessee Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Studying medical field. 2) Student must reside in or have graduated from a Green Lake, Marquette, or Waushara county high school. 3) Student must submit 250-500 word essay. 4) Other documents must be provided.

Schmitt Park Neighborhood Association

Eligibility: 1) Graduating high school senior who resides within Schmitt Park. 2) GPA of at least 3.20.

Shawano County Farm Progress Days Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Be a Shawano County resident, or currently studying at a high school within Shawano County.

ThedaCare Family of Foundations

Eligibility: The foundation is offering a variety of scholarships, including options for both high school seniors, traditional, and non-traditional students looking to enter the healthcare field or continue their education.

Thomas B. and Grace Stevenson Jones Scholarship

Eligibility: Wisconsin resident of Iowa, Grant, or Lafayette counties who are enrolled in, or plan to enroll in, a duly accredited four-year college or university.

Vincent L. Hawkinson Scholarship for Peace and Justice Studies

Eligibility: Applicant must be a resident of (or currently attending school in) Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin. They must demonstrate a commitment to peace and justice through at least one of the following: completed a specific peace and justice project, were courageous in pursing their convictions about peace and justice, displayed ongoing commitment to and leadership in a peace and justice organization, or served as a role model for others in moving a religious community or society into new realms of thought and practice regarding peace and justice.

Welsh Club of the Milwaukee Area Music Scholarship

Eligibility: 1) Open to Wisconsin residents of any ethnic background (preference may be given to persons of Welsh heritage). 2) Must be attending (or intending to enroll) full-time as an undergraduate in pursuit of a music major.

Wisconsin Garden Club Federation Scholarships

Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, or postgraduate students having a scholastic record of not less than a 3.0 GPA who are Wisconsin residents and pursuing the study of horticulture, landscaping, environmental sciences, conservation, forestry, or similar fields of study.

Wisconsin Women in Government Scholarship

Applicants must meet certain financial need criteria. Please review the notice at the beginning of the application file for special instructions.

Eligibility: Be a female resident of Wisconsin, have financial need, be enrolled either full-time or part-time in an undergraduate program at an eligible institution, and plan to be enrolled at least part-time in the fall semester.
