Current Research Pursuits

Dr. Johnson’s research has focused on examining the economic, political, and environmental impacts of large scale federally funded water resources development projects in the central Great Plains.  In addition, Dr. Johnson has initiated a geographical analysis of declining male enrollments in U.S. public colleges and universities and how this declining enrollment will effect changes in marriage patterns, population dynamics, political involvement, economic repercussions, and educational effects upon future generations.
