Borrowing for Online Students

Students and staff in online programs at UW-Green Bay have access to the same resources as on-campus students. The UW-Green Bay Libraries website is your gateway to library services and collections, including Search@UW, databases, request forms, research guides, and more.

For a more in-depth look at using the UW-Green Bay Libraries, see the Library Services for Online Students guide and the Nursing and Health Professions Students guide.

Borrowing Library Materials

If you are located a long distance from our campus, we encourage you to check if needed items are available closer to where you live. If you live outside of the county in which your campus is located, you can request books and other physical items from any UW-Green Bay library or other library and have them delivered directly to your home via standard mail. You are responsible for returning materials back to the library.

In order to request materials, you need to provide us with the complete citation to the item. If you need help searching and locating research materials, please contact us via the Research Help page.

  • When requesting any library materials please use the interlibrary loan (ILLiad) link on the Borrow from Another Library page.
  • Before placing your request, review the information under Tools−Distance Education Students, and make sure Distance Education is selected. That alerts us that materials need to be shipped to you.

Materials may be returned in-person, via mail, or via the van delivery system operating among the UW campuses. For information on using the van delivery system, contact your campus library.
