Volunteer Opportunities in LLI

Essential to Our Success

Bring your valuable life experience.

Contribute to the success of the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) by getting involved as a volunteer. There are many different volunteer positions to choose from! With only one full-time employee working as office manager, LLI relies on volunteers to fulfill all essential functions of the organization.

Volunteer Opportunities

Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) is a member-led organization. When you volunteer, not only will you meet new people and gain a sense of accomplishment, you will make a difference in a learning-focused organization. A great way to determine if volunteering is right for you is to attend a committee meeting. If you would like to attend a committee meeting, please contact the LLI Office lli@uwgb.edu to find out upcoming dates and times. Thank you for your involvement!

Course Coordinators

For in-person classes, class coordinators contact presenters in preparation for class. On the day of class, coordinators introduce presenters and monitor the attendance sign-in sheet. Coordinators ensure the smooth flow of LLI classes. Needed at all campus locations. Meetings as needed.

Helping get a zoom class started
Zoom Moderators

Zoom class moderators contact the presenter in the weeks leading up to class and introduce them at the start of class. Moderators handle all aspects of the Zoom class — address raised hands, chat messages and mute microphones — to ensure class flows smoothly and the presenter can focus on their presentation. Virtual meetings as needed.

Course coordinators regularly review courses to make sure they are a fit for members.
