While many friends and supporters of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay have established scholarships to assist students with the cost of college, the need for additional targeted student support continues to grow. EMBI students share in this financial need. And, of all the financial gift tools available, the Endowed Scholarship is truly the most sustainable.
Endowed scholarships are long-term accounts established through gifts of substantial size that in turn provide annual earnings generated by investment of the principal. The benefit of an endowed scholarship is that the principal gift is never touched, making it truly a ‘gift of a lifetime.’ Each year, a portion of the interest earnings are awarded to students who meet the scholarship established criteria.
