Past Projects
Nicolet National Forest Bird Survey
From 1987-2016, volunteers across Wisconsin helped conduct breeding bird surveys during the second weekend in June.
Forest Health
This tool helps measure forest health in forests across the Great Lakes region based on local breeding bird assemblages.
Wabikon Forest
As part of a larger project of forests across 5 continents, the Wabikon Forest Dynamics plot produced a database with 58,658 records representing 48,849 live trees.
Green Bay Cormorants & Pelicans
From 2021-2023, the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity documented the importance of fish-eating birds to better understand the food chain in our region.
