Clayton CJ Elger went from playing baseball as a kid to keeping the scorebook for his coach to today working with Major League Baseball team Tampa Bay Rays as a data engineer. This is Elger's fourth season with the Rays. He monitors the computer models that provide data to Tampa Bay player experts."People think of this as Jonah Hill's character in Moneyball," said Elger, 29. Elger is a Peoria native who earned dual bachelor's degrees in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He then earned his Master of Science Degree from UW-Green Bay.

Meet Sampath Kumar

Sampath Kumar is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Master's of Data Science Program at UW-Green Bay. His research interests are in areas of e-services, service loyalty, customer satisfaction, total quality management, nonprofit marketing, religious symbols in advertising and supply chain management. Kumar's works have been published in journals like the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management and International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing.
