Instructional Design Consultations

The primary way instructors engage with the Center is through consultations. We work one-on-one or in small groups to guide and to offer perspective, advice, and suggestions based on best practice. Consultations are largely problem-focused and look at teaching and learning at any level: materials, assignments, courses, or programs.

Professional Development

Instructors looking to grow in their craft can engage with presentations & workshops, sparkshops, courses, reading groups, Communities of Practice, and more led by CATL as well as in collaboration with CATL and fellow instructors. Learn more about these opportunities in our TeAch Tuesday communications, on The Cowbell (CATL's blog), and on the Events & Programs page.

Technology Consultations

If you have worked with a designer or on your own to develop a new assignment, course, or program, CATL staff can work with you to select the appropriate technologies and implement them to make it a reality. Request a consultation to learn more about the features of Canvas, options and best practices for developing learning materials, and more.
