Outdoors
In collaboration with the UW-Sea Grant, discover the outdoors with us.
Join us for Outdoor Learning with Oneida Elder Randy Cornelius where the land itself becomes a classroom as he shares traditional Indigenous knowledge. The following opportunities are open to all UW-Green Bay students, staff and faculty:
- February 17, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. | Great Law of Peace | Oneida Longhouse
- March 10, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. | Maple Tapping & Sugar Making | Oneida Reservation
- April 14, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.| Bird Migration & Monitoring | UW-Green Bay Campus
More About Oneida Bird Monitoring
Collaborations with the Oneida Nation, NEW Bird Alliance and Audubon Great Lakes have led to an extensive bird monitoring program, engaging over 100 volunteers and documenting nearly 200 bird species across multiple restoration sites.
Elder Teachings
Each week, you can gather with and learn from Indigenous Elders, a practice that First Nations cultures have been doing for generations.
