Stay Local

There is growing demand for CPTs in our region.

The Kress Center, serving over 7,000 students, faculty, staff, and community members, has seen a 10% increase in unique users and a growing demand for personal training services. However, there were no CPTs available at the Kress Center in fall 2024. Off-campus demand is also rising, with established fitness centers like YMCAs, Western Racquet and Fitness Club, Anytime Fitness, and the Kroc Center offering personal training services, and new centers opening to include Crunch Fitness and the Packer Athletic Club.

Not a Human bio Major?

If you are interested in becoming a CPT but aren't a human biology major and aren't interested it getting the certificate, you can take Essentials of Personal Training (HUM BIOL 270) as a stand-alone course to prepare you for a number of accredited CPT exams.
