We want to support and celebrate you being the first in your family to go to college. Starting from your first week of college and continuing from there, we hope you'll join us for the events and activities designed with you in mind. Know that you'll always have place at UW-Green Bay.

A sweet way to Start

Join us during the beginning of the fall semester on all three campuses. Meet faculty and staff who were first generation college students. They'll share tips for success as you begin your college journey.

Celebrate On November 8

Join us for the National First Generation College Celebration Day and more.

Every year on November 8, we join universities across the country to celebrate students, faculty and staff who are the first in their family to earn a four-year undergraduate degree. The goal of the day, which has since turned into a celebrated week, is to create a culture of support for first generation students and share the stories of those who have taken the journey before you.

Nominate yourself or someone else who has made an impact on first-gen student success at UWGB. Awards presentation and dinner.
