Safe Ally Presentations

The First step to Allyship

Contribute to positive change in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Safe Ally presentations are a free educational opportunity open to UW-Green Bay students, faculty and staff. Three sessions introduce ways to support members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community then dive deeper into advocacy and education. If you or a group of folks are interested in completing a Safe Ally presentation, please email the Pride Center.

Intro to Pride

Learn about pronouns, what an LGBTQIA2S+ ally is, how to be supportive and basic terminology. Attendees will receive a Safe Ally badge upon completion.

Pride Events in History

Learn about hidden U.S. LGBTQIA2S+ history through events spanning 1940s-2010s.

Pride People in History

Learn about the lives of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals spanning from the 1700’s-1960s. Learn about how history is not as straightforward as it may appear.

While Safe Ally Training is only open to UW-Green Bay students and staff, The Pride Center is proud to offer educational presentations for businesses and organizations. Presentations can be tailored to your organization's interest and needs. Reach out to the Pride Center for more information and to schedule your training!

Need Some Help?

The Pride Center has many LGBTQIA2S+ history presentations available in addition to Safe Ally Training classes. Folks can look for posters with QR codes or email the Pride Center using a UW-Green Bay email address to be added to class.
