Each year, the Pride Center selects current UW-Green Bay student interns to support the Pride Centers on all three campuses. Successful interns are individuals with a strong commitment to learning, empowering underrepresented students, and educating others.

About the Internship Experience
Interns learn valuable skills that they can take with them anywhere including a responsibility for personal growth, advocacy for others, leadership and presentation skills. Successful intern candidates should have a minimum cumulative/semester 2.25 GPA.
Interns for the academic year/summer (Fall/Spring/Summer) are hired in April of each year. We have a limited number of paid positions for both undergraduate and graduate students and a few unpaid/class credit. We welcome all majors. Watch for our postings up around Spring Break time.

La Force Foundation Legacy Intern
Pride Center La Force Foundation Legacy interns are responsible for supporting a learning environment that contributes to student development. We are looking for individuals with a strong communication skills, a commitment to the continued empowerment of underrepresented students, dedication to cultural awareness, and responsibility for personal growth. Work experiences in the Pride Center are best suited to folks who are willing to develop positive relationships with groups and individuals. Applicants who are comfortable in multi-cultural environments and enjoy learning from new and challenging experiences are usually well suited for these positions.
If you are selected as an applicant, you will be interviewed by Pride Center Director: Nicole Kurth and Pride Center & Student Engagement Center Program Coordinator: Sarah O’Brien. All Pride Center applicants who are hired should have a minimum cumulative/semester 2.25 GPA and be in good academic standing. Each applicant will be informed of the final decision concerning their application.
Academic Year Positions
Pride Center Interns
Work 10-20 hours per week in their assigned Pride Center campus location. Serve as a mentor and resource person, and attend/present at multiple events throughout the academic year. Mandatory staff orientation training is required prior to employment with ongoing mandatory training taking place throughout the academic year. This position is open to any current UW-Green Bay student. We have Pride Center Interns at all three campus locations: Green Bay, Manitowoc and Sheboygan. We have some paid positions, positions for class credit (speak with your academic advisor to set-up), and volunteer positions. The hourly rate of pay for paid Pride Center Internships is: $15.00 per hour (10-20 hours per week).
Pride Center Community Liaison Intern
Same responsibilities as the Pride Center Intern position but with experience working in both the Green Bay campus Pride Center location and the Green Bay campus Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) location. This intern position will be able to have experience with both LGBTQIA2S+ and multicultural community to work, serve and offer programming. The hourly rate of pay for paid Pride Center Community Liaison Internships is: $15.00 per hour (10-20 hours per week).
Graduate Pride Center Operations Assistant
This position is open to any current Graduate level student. In addition to completing the above responsibilities of the Pride Center Interns, the Graduate Pride Center Operations Assistant works closely with the Pride Center Director and Pride Center & Student Engagement Center Program Coordinator. This position assists with overall program management operations, Safe Ally and other large-scale programs and presentations. There are monthly program management of all three campus locations with in-person visits with other professional staff. A crucial eye for detail and strong communication skills and motivation is needed for community outreach presentations and mentoring Pride Center Interns. Must work well autonomously and within a team with the ability to switch from one task to another. The hourly rate of pay for the Graduate Pride Center Operations Assistant is $17.00 per hour (20 hours per week).
Summer Positions
Summer Pride Center Interns
Work 10 hours per week in the Pride Center on the Green Bay campus. This position is open to any current UW-Green Bay student. The Summer Pride Center Intern assists with programming – including attending events during Pride Month in June. This position works closely with the Pride Center Director and Pride Center & Student Engagement Center Program Coordinator to determine Pride Center programming for the Fall semester. This position will work on special projects and summer events on the Green Bay campus. The hourly rate of pay for paid Pride Center Internships is: $15.00 per hour (10 hours per week).
