Committee Charge

According to Article IV, Section C of the Academic Staff Governance By-laws, the responsibilities of the Academic Staff Personnel Committee are: 

  1. To serve as a hearing body personnel issues, including but not limited to nonrenewal, dismissal for cause, complaints, and grievances, and submit findings to the Chancellor. 
  2. To review and provide recommendations on title appeals. 
  3. To undertake related special assignments at the request of the Academic Staff Committee. 
  4. To review proposed and approved University Human Resources policy changes that pertain to academic staff and submit feedback to the ASC as deemed necessary. 
  5. To submit all findings and recommendations to the Academic Staff Committee, for review and submission to the Director of Human Resources and the Chancellor.
