Credit Transfer

Universidad del Desarrollo considers a typical full-time load to be 50 credits per semester/100 credits per year. Compared to UWGB’s 15 credits per term, the ratio of converting UDD credits to UWGB is 3.33. As such, credits transcripts will be evaluated using a formula of UDD Credit Hours ÷ 3.33 = UWGB Credit.

Credit Transfer

The University of Aalborg uses the standard European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Typical courses are worth 5 or 10 ECTS. The nationally recognized scale of ECTS to U.S. credits is 2:1. Therefore, two ECTS is equal to one UWGB credit (divide the number of ECTS by 2). UW-Green Bay students are required to take a minimum of 24 ECTS credits at the University of Aalborg to be considered full-time

ECTS marks are based on performance in relation to other in the class (10% of the class receives an "A," 25% receives a "B," 30% receives a "C," etc.) Kedge also grades on the French patterned system of 0 to 20, with 20 being the highest score. Hessen Exchange - International Summer University (ISU) & International Winter University (IWU)

The summer university offers 5 locations for students to study: Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Fulda, Kassel and Marburg. The winter university offers 3 locations: Darmstadt, Fulda and Kassel. Credit Translations

ISU and IWU are part of the Wisconsin/Hessen Exchange where it is expected that participants receive 6 UW credits for the experience (exchange balances are spelled out in the exchange agreement administered at the UW System level). Therefore, students are awarded 6 credits total; 3 credit for each course. As such, the ISU and IWU Darmstadt program shall be transferred as follows:

Credit Transfer

Students are graded using the American University model of evaluation. Therefore, the number of credits earned at SRISA are equivalent and will be issued on a Maryville University transcript. Students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 credits.

Osaka Gakuin University

Credit Transfer

Osaka Gakuin University transcript includes the number of hours per week, total number of weeks, and a grade for each subject studied. Osaka Gakuin Hours to UWGB Credits is calculated using the formula – (Osaka Hours X 3)/45 = UWGB credits.

Credit Transfer

A typical course is worth 2 credits. One TMU credit = 1 UW-Green Bay credit. UW-Green Bay students are required to take 14 credits at Tokyo Metropolitan University to be considered full-time.

Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY)

Credit Transfer

UW-Green Bay study abroad students attend courses primarily within two schools at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, The School of Anthropology (Facultad de Ciencias Antropológicas) and the Language Center (Centro Institucional de Lenguas). Thus, UWGB receives two sets of transcripts from Merida, one listing courses taken at the School of Anthropology, and the other with courses taken at the language school. One course in Merida is equal to one 3-credit course at UW-Green Bay.

At the University of Auckland, a typical course is worth 15 points. University of Auckland’s 15 points equals 3.75 UW-Green Bay credits (divide the number of UoA points by 4). UW Green Bay students are required to take a minimum of 60 points at the University of Auckland to be considered full-time

The University of Glasgow uses the Scottish Credits & Qualifications Framework (SCQF). A typical course is worth 15 or 20 credits. The nationally recognized scale of SCQF to U.S. credits is 4:1. Therefore, divide the number of SCQF credits by 4. UW-Green Bay students are required to take 60 SCQF credits at the University of Stirling to be considered full-time.

UW-Green Bay students have the option of participating in a program outside of the university if that program fits their academic and personal needs. Academic advising is similar to study abroad advising for these programs; however, before you apply to a non-UW-Green Bay study abroad program, you'll need to contact us to get courses pre-approved by the Registrar so there are no issues with credit transfer after you return.

Programs outside of approved UW-Green Bay study abroad or National Student Exchange programs will be entered as transfer credit. After the credit is approved, you'll work with your academic advisor to find the equivalencies in your academic programs.

A Non-UWGB Program Form must also be completed before you depart. Any forms that need to be signed by a study abroad advisor must be turned into the Office of International Education (OIE). You must have a submitted checklist on file to be eligible for the WITCO Travel Grant or endorsement of any other scholarships or grants.
