Hamed Farrokhiasl
Hamed Farrokhi-Asl is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Cofrin School of Business, University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. He brings a strong background in Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics, with a focus on applying optimization, machine learning, and data analytics to real-world challenges in sustainable logistics and supply chain systems.
He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Supply Chain and Operations Management at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he is a Chancellor Fellow. His dissertation explores sustainable urban logistics using electric vehicles, with applications in delivery distribution and waste management. He also holds a MicroMasters in Data Science from Massachusetts Institute of technology (MIT), a master's in industrial engineering from the University of Tehran, and a bachelor's from Khajeh Nasir University of Technology.
Farrokhi-Asl has coauthored more than 90 scientific papers which has been published in top-tier journals such as Computers & Industrial Engineering, Soft Computing, Transportation Letters, Computers & Electrical Engineering, Operational Research, and Journal of Cleaner Production. He has received multiple academic honors, including the Chancellor's Graduate Student Award and recognition from Iran’s National Elites Foundation.
Before joining UW–Green Bay, he taught courses in Logistics Management, Machine Learning, Statistical Analysis, Probability, Operations Research, and Supply Chain Management. He also has industry experience as a Business Analyst and Project Assistant, where he developed models for waste management, customer retention, and performance evaluation. He is committed to inclusive teaching, curriculum innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. His technical skills include Python, MATLAB, SAS, and GAMS.
