CLEP Exam Equivalencies

Refer to our CLEP Equivalency table below to see how your CLEP scores can translate into college credits at UW-Green Bay. Many CLEP exams align with specific UW-Green Bay courses, but not all exams are eligible for credit. If an exam isn’t listed in the table, there is no course equivalent at UW-Green Bay, and credit won’t be awarded. For example, CLEP exams like Information Systems, Principles of Management and Computer Applications and Management don't have UW-Green Bay equivalents.

General vs. Subject Exams

In the CLEP Equivalency table below you'll notice some CLEP exams are marked "General Exam." All others are Subject Exams. CLEP General exams cover material most students complete during the first two years of college. CLEP Subject exams cover material taught in college courses with similar titles. UW-Green Bay students can receive credit for General Exams (Humanities exam, Natural Science exam and Social Science and History exam) only if their UW-Green Bay transcript has fewer than 15 credits, including credits for courses in progress and transfer credits taken at a previous institution.
