Legacy Scholarship

Each year, the Alumni Relations Office awards the Legacy Scholarship to new legacy freshmen and/or transfer students.

Did you graduate with a four-year degree from UW-Green Bay and your child, grandchild, sibling or parent is a new freshman or transfer student for the 2022-2023 school year? If so, your student is eligible for one-of-ten $500 scholarships for new legacy freshman or transfer students.

To be considered for a Legacy Scholarship, your student must email alumni@uwgb.edu with the following information by 4 p.m. on June 30, 2022 (late responses will not be considered):

  • Name(s) of parent, step-parent, guardian, sibling, step-sibling, grandparent, step-grandparent, child and/or step-child who graduated with an official four-year degree from UW-Green Bay. If the individual(s) had a different last name at the time he/she graduated, please list his/her last name at the time of graduation.
  • Graduation years of those listed
  • Your relationship to those listed
Once alumni status is verified for the legacy family members submitted via email, your student will be entered into a pool of all eligible legacy students and ten of those students will be randomly selected for a $500 Legacy Scholarship. Legacy Scholarship dollars will be awarded in the spring semester, after completing fall semester, showing a desire to graduate as a UW-Green Bay alumnus.

An email with this information will be sent to all admitted students at the beginning of June 2022 to ensure as many legacy students as possible can be considered. Again, all responses must be received at alumni@uwgb.edu by June 30, 2022 at 4 p.m.

Questions? Contact Alumni Relations at (920) 465-2226 or alumni@uwgb.edu.
