Our UW-Green Bay collections feature official records from campus departments and administrators, including materials from the Chancellor’s Office, Facilities Management, Athletics and academic departments. We also hold unofficial records, such as documents from campus planners and student organizations.

Building Histories

The University Archives contains planning documents, space plans, photographs, blueprints and floor plans, as well as groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies for buildings on the UW-Green Bay campus. Materials date from the early 1960s to the present.

Oral History Interviews

The University Archives partnered with the UW-Green Bay Retirees Association to create an oral history collection. Oral histories were conducted with former UW-Green Bay faculty, staff, students, alumni and community supporters. Topics discussed include the campus founding, curriculum, academic plans, student and employee experiences, campus buildings, departments and programs, as well as community support and collaborations.

Syllabi Repository

The University Archives maintains files of syllabi for all courses taught at UW-Green Bay, spanning from the 1970s to the present. Syllabi are available for use during our open hours or can be requested with the records request form.

Theses

Beginning in 1975 through 2020, the University Archives has a copy of every thesis completed for a master's degree at UW-Green Bay. The copy in University Archives does not circulate. Theses created after 2014 are available through the UW-Green Bay Thesis Collection.

UW-Green Bay: From the Beginning

"University of Wisconsin–Green Bay: From the Beginning" is a memoir chronicling the early years of the university, from its inception to its first 25 years. Written by Betty D. Brown, a founding member of the university's news services, the book draws on her personal experiences and archival research to tell the story of the institution's struggles, triumphs and the unique personalities that shaped its early development.
