Course Description

Practicing Effective Management: Advanced Techniques training is designed for managers who aspire to enhance their skills and competencies in building excellent teams while delivering results. While the two-day Practicing Effective Management (PEM) training teaches the fundamentals of management, PEM: Advanced Techniques delves deeper into growing effective teams interpersonal candor, and maintaining personal wellness while managing professional expectations.

PEM: Advanced Techniques employs interactive and dynamic teaching styles appealing to adult learning methods, and time will be dedicated to role-playing real scenarios from attendees.

About the Trainer

Tess Parker, LMSW

Tess Parker, LMSW

Tess Parker is an accomplished trainer, clinical therapist, and educator. As a former program director in behavioral health, she leverages her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in a career dedicated to serving individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in both outpatient, and residential settings. Tess believes authenticity and vulnerability are at the core of human connection, and this belief is the foundation of her clinical and consultative approach. Tess has an uncanny ability to strategically identify critical gaps in care and then create programs to bridge those gaps and truly save lives. She is also an avid writer, a minimalist at heart, and values meaningful connections with persons served, customers, and her community.
Myranda Green, LLMSW

Myranda Green, LLMSW

Myranda holds a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University. She has extensive experience developing and managing crisis services systems, making her a vital member of TBD Solutions Clinical and Crisis Services team. Myranda also brings leadership skills and a passion for developing relationships to her consultant role.
