Course Description

Learn about the core principles that guide us in providing the best support for those who have experienced trauma in their lives, diagnostic tools available, and various out of the box modalities/strategies that can help individuals free up space from painful past hurt histories.

Learning Objectives: 

  • After participating in this session, attendees should be able to identify core principles of trauma informed care.
  • After participating in this session, attendees should be able to accurately identify and assess for trauma.
  • After participating in this session, attendees should be able to have an awareness of various modalities available to pull from in supporting others with trauma (ex brainspotting, IFS, equine assisted therapy).

About the Trainer

Amarra Bricco, LPC

Amarra Bricco, LPC

Amarra is a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s of Science in Education in Professional Counseling from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Amarra has experience working with a variety of mental health challenges in various treatment settings. She has over 5 years of experience working with eating disorders and a special interest in working with individuals with trauma histories. Amarra uses an integrative approach pulling from various evidence based and experiential practices to provide a safe and custom fit therapy experience. She is also trained in Brainspotting and trauma informed care to help individuals work through painful past hurt and roadblocks in their lives.
