This page explains how to apply to the MS Data Science (MSDS) program if you plan to start in Fall 2026.

How to Apply for Fall 2026

Follow the steps below to complete your application.

Step1: Submit the Online Application

Complete the UW-Green Bay graduate application through the Universities of Wisconsin system and pay the $56 non‑refundable application fee

Step2: Send Official Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you attempted 9 or more credits. You don't need to submit UW-Green Bay transcripts (if you attended UW-Green Bay) or Study abroad transcripts for one semester or less.

Send transcripts by one of the following methods:

Step3:Submit Your Resume

Provide a current resume that highlights your professional experience, education and skills relevant to management and leadership. Your resume can be uploaded as part of your application or emailed to gradstu@uwgb.edu.

Step4:Complete the MSDS Questionnaire

Your answers to the questions in this MSDS Questionnaire help us determine if you're prepared to succeed in this program.

Step5Write a Personal Statement

Submit a personal statement of up to 1,000 words describing the reasons behind your decision to pursue this degree and what you believe you will bring to the data science field. 

International Students

This program is 100% online. International students are welcome to apply and enroll. However, you are unable to apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa based on enrollment in the program. In addition to the application materials, you will need to provide further documentation.
