Executive Impact MBA Admissions

The Executive Impact MBA is designed for experienced professionals eager to expand their leadership potential and drive impactful change in their organizations. We welcome leaders from all  professional backgrounds.

1 Admissions Requirements

  • Degree: A bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • GPA: A 3.0 grade point average (measured on a 4.0 scale) or higher. Students with a GPA less than 3.0 will be considered for admission on a case by case basis. 
  • Experience: This program is designed for individuals with documented professional experience.

Please note: No entrance exams are required (e.g. GRE, GMAT).  

2 How to Apply

Submit the following to the UW-Green Bay Graduate Office:

  • Universities of Wisconsin Application & Fee: Complete and submit the Universities of Wisconsin application. When you submit your online application, you will be asked to pay the $56 application fee.
  • Resume: Submit your current resume outlining your academic achievements and professional experience. Your resume may be uploaded as part of your application or can be emailed to gradstu@uwgb.edu.
  • Impact Statement: In approximately 500 words (~1 page single-spaced), please respond to the following questions. Space for the impact statement is included in the online application.
    1. Why do you want to enroll in the Executive Impact MBA?
    2. What impact you hope to make for both (a) yourself and (b) your organization by completing this program? 
  • Official Transcripts*: Official transcripts are required from all postsecondary institutions of higher learning from which 9 or more credits have been attempted. Official electronic transcripts must be sent to UW-Green Bay Admissions.

    If you attended less than 9 credits you do not have to send an official transcript unless the courses completed were prerequisites for the program. Study abroad transcripts are not required if you attended an international University for one or fewer semesters. UW-Green Bay retains the right to request additional official transcripts from all/or additional postsecondary institutions of higher learning attended by applicant. NOTE: If you attended UW-Green Bay, you do not have to send UW-Green Bay transcripts.

    For college and universities attended outside the United States, you must provide the a course-by-course transcript evaluation from a professional evaluation service currently recognized by NACES (www.naces.org). UW-Green Bay recommends one of the following evaluation services:
  • Two Professional Recommendations: Two letters of professional evaluation from people who can assess your potential and motivation to use this program as a developmental accelerator for both personal and organizational impact. Each reference letter must come directly from the reference and be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Studies email, gradstu@uwgb.edu, or mailed to:

International Students

This program does not meet the standards required by U.S. immigration for international student visa issuance. Regretfully, we are unable to offer this program to individuals requiring a student visa for full-time study in the U.S.

Impact MBA - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Impact MBA?

The Impact MBA is a 30-credit, fully online graduate business program designed for experienced professionals who want to lead change, drive innovation, and create meaningful impact within their organizations and communities.

  • How is the Impact MBA structured?

The program is organized into five 7-week semesters, with students completing two courses at a time. Courses are grouped into stackable graduate certificates, allowing students to earn credentials along the way while staying on pace to complete the MBA.

  • How long does it take to complete the Impact MBA?

Students can complete the Impact MBA in as little as one year, depending on their start point and course progression. The accelerated format is designed to maintain momentum while remaining manageable for working professionals. 

  • Is the Impact MBA fully online?

Yes. The Impact MBA is 100% online. There are no required in-person meetings, allowing students to participate from anywhere while balancing work, family, and other commitments.

  • When can I start the program?

While the cohort begins each fall, students may begin the program at multiple start points throughout the year, aligning with the program’s 7-week course semesters.

  • What are stackable certificates?

Stackable certificates are graduate-level credentials embedded within the MBA program. As students progress, they earn certificates that recognize skill development in key business areas while also counting toward the full MBA degree.

  • Who is the Impact MBA designed for?

The program is designed for working professionals and emerging leaders with at least 5 years of professional experience across industries who want to strengthen their leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to lead organizational change regardless of prior academic background.

  • What skills will I gain in the Impact MBA?

  • Can I work full-time while completing the Impact MBA

Yes. The program’s two-courses-at-a-time, accelerated format is intentionally designed for professionals who are working full-time while pursuing their degree.

  • What is the return on investment for an Executive MBA?

Research consistently shows that professionals with an Executive MBA earn significantly more over their careers than those with a bachelor’s degree alone. In addition to financial return, graduates gain leadership confidence, expanded career opportunities, and increased organizational impact.

  • Does my employer offer tuition reimbursement?

No. The Impact MBA is designed to support professionals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, providing a strong foundation in business fundamentals alongside advanced leadership concepts.
