Exhibition Opportunities:

407 Gallery:

407 Gallery serves as a laboratory for students enrolled in Art and/or Design at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and acts as an exhibition resource for those students. 407 Gallery is an active showcase of UW-Green Bay art and design students, promoting their work, research, and the program as a whole. 407 Gallery hosts 2-3 exhibitions each semester along varying themes.

Annual Juried Student Exhibition:

The Annual Juried Student Exhibition is open to any UW- Green Bay (or UWGB Campuses) student that is currently enrolled in the current semester. This exhibition is a showcase of UWGB art and design and provides over $2,000 in awards each year.

Senior Exhibitions:

Art and Design students with a senior standing at UW-Green Bay are able to participate in the Senior Art Exhibition. This exhibition gives students a chance to show off their final portfolio of undergraduate work in a professional gallery setting! Indigenous Art Exhibition:

This exhibition aims to highlight the indigenous artists whose land our university resides, featuring UW-Green Bay's indigenous alumni and students. This exhibition will serve to respect and honor the hard work of our indigenous artists, as well as serve as an opportunity to emphasize the voices of indigenous people within the Menominee and Ho-Chunk Nations.

Job Opportunities:

Gallery Guard: The Lawton Gallery is currently looking for dependable, courteous students to work as a Gallery Guard. The Gallery Guard is often the only person our visitors ever come into contact with so it is very important that these students have good people skills and are willing to go out of their way to ensure the visitors feel welcome in the gallery.

Guards are responsible for answering questions, assisting and monitoring visitors, protecting artwork, minor tidying, and helping with events. Students MUST have work study.

Internship Opportunities:

The Lawton Gallery hosts a variety of internships for all different majors and minors including but not limited to Art, Design, Arts Management, Communications, and History. Lawton Gallery interns will get experience in collection care, gallery practices, marketing, artwork conservation, event planning and more! Students interested in internships should fill out an application.

Art Collection Volunteer: The Lawton Gallery is consistently looking for students to volunteer to assist in collection care and maintenance of the permanent art collection. This consists of anything from assisting in artwork repair to collection paperwork, experience is preferred but not required as all volunteers work directly with the Curator or Assistant Curator.
