Follow the steps below to complete your application.

Step1: Submit the Online Application

Complete the UW-Green Bay graduate application through the Universities of Wisconsin system and pay the $56 non‑refundable application fee

Apply Here

Step2: Send Official Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you attempted 9 or more credits. You don't need to submit UW-Green Bay transcripts (if you attended UW-Green Bay) or Study abroad transcripts for one semester or less.

Send transcripts by one of the following methods:

  • Email: uwgb@uwgb.edu
  • Mail:
    UW-Green Bay Admissions
    2420 Nicolet Drive
    Green Bay, WI 54311

Step3:Provide Recommendations

You will need two letters of evaluation as part of your application. These letters must be submitted by your evaluators, not by you. The graduate admissions office will not accept letters submitted by the applicant. Here’s how the process works:

  1. Complete the first two sections of the MPA letter of evaluation form.
  2. Save the form and send it to each evaluator you have selected. At least one academic reference is preferred, especially for traditional or accelerated applicants.
  3. Each evaluator will complete the remaining sections and send the form directly to the Office of Graduate Studies on your behalf. Completed evaluations should be sent by one of the following methods:
    • Email: gradstu@uwgb.edu
    • Mail:
      Office of Graduate Studies
      UW-Green Bay
      2420 Nicolet Drive
      Green Bay, WI 54311

Step4:Write a Personal Statement

Submit a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words that includes:

  • Your interest in working in the public and nonprofit sector, your professional goals as they relate to this interest, and how you believe UW-Green Bay’s Master of Public Administration program can help you achieve these goals.
  • Your intended admission pathway (traditional, accelerated or executive)
  • Your chosen track (public management or nonprofit management)

Additional requirements:

  • If applying to the executive track, include your résumé with your application or email it to gradstu@uwgb.edu
  • If you don't meet minimum admission requirements, explain any extenuating circumstances and your readiness for graduate study
