This department offers three interdisciplinary programs of study:
Public Administration (PA) prepares students for careers in public or nonprofit organizations, as well as for further study in graduate programs. Majors choose an area of emphasis in public management and policy, nonprofit management or emergency management.
Environmental Policy & Planning (EPP) is an environmental studies program based in the social sciences. It prepares students for a variety of professions involving the planning, analysis, design, and administration of policies and programs dealing with the natural and human-made environment.
Urban and Regional Studies (URS) offers students introductory and advanced coursework in the many social science disciplines that contribute to the study of our urban world, including economics, geography, political science, sociology, as well as professional fields such as urban design and urban planning.
