Election Materials

Interested in being the next President, Vice President, or a Senator in the Student Government Association? We encourage you to run in the spring election!

Election Timeline

  • Sunday, February 15 - Referendum questions due to court at 4:00 PM
  • Thursday, March 5 - Court approves or remands referendum questions
  • Sunday, March 8 - Candidacy papers including signatures are due
  • Sunday, March 8 - Final deadline for referendum petitions
  • Week of March 9-13 - Court certifies candidates
  • Tuesday, March 31 - Students are notified of referendum
  • Week of March 30-April 3 - Tentative date for Open Forum & Debate
  • Wednesday, April 8 - Election begins at 9:00 AM
  • Thursday, April 9 - Election ends at 4:30 PM; campaigning window ends
  • Friday, April 10 - Election results are announced at 12:00 PM

Candidacy Form

To officially run in the spring election, you will need to complete the candidacy form and submit it by 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, via email to stcourt@uwgb.edu.

Signature Sheet

Along with your candidacy form, you will need to submit a signature sheet. Senator candidates require 30 signatures while other positions require 200 signatures.
