Writing Works
Take your writing skills to a higher level and be in demand. Markets are exploding for creative literature and professional multimedia content. To meet industry demand for exceptional writing skills infused with creativity, UW-Green Bay offers the only degree of its kind in the UW-System: the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing and Applied Arts.

Book It
Hands-on experience is built into all levels of study. Write your novel, build interactive poems, edit an award-winning journal of the arts, design a book, and explore the business of writing through internships in storytelling, podcasting, and game writing. Learn, lead, and yes, even laugh, as you work with Sheepshead Review Journal of Art & Literature, The Teaching Press, the Center for Games and Interactive Media, and The Creatives communications team. Transformative student opportunities abound.
Pursue Passion
“I have had more opportunities to do what I love than I would have ever thought. As editor-in-chief of Sheepshead Review, I’ve had the chance to publish work of writers. I’ve had the opportunity to intern for UntitledTown, the book and author festival, where I was lucky enough to meet R.L. Stine. In a novel writing class, I completed a 50,000-word novel. The curriculum has provided practice in publishing, podcasting and marketing to prepare me for a career in the writing industry.”
